Security

A security system has been installed in all school buildings. The doors are locked at all times. Parent/Guardian(s) or other visitors must go directly to the main office. Parent/Guardian(s) or other visitors may not go directly to the classrooms. All visitors must report to the school office to obtain a visitor badge and sign in.

Suspected Child Abuse/Neglect

It is required by State Law that all adults who work with children must report any suspicions or any evidence of abuse or neglect to the Department of Children and Family Services. Abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional or academic neglect. All teachers and staff will abide by these guidelines.

Weapons

West Park Catholic Academy has a policy that expressly prohibits the use, possession, sale, or discharge of any weapons or explosive devices in the school, on school grounds, or at school-sponsored activities. This policy shall apply to all students, participants in school programs, teachers, administrators and other personnel in the school or parishes. An extended version of this policy is available in the school office.

Student Searches

West Park Catholic Academy reserves the right to inspect all school property as well as all belongings brought on to school grounds.
